A omiyaexpress You Tube video.

"This movie of upbound trains on the JR Tohoku, Joetsu, Yamagata, Akita, and Nagano Shinkansen was shot from the Panorama Deck on the Railway Museum's roof. Including the last one (E926 Series track inspection train "East i"), I took all kinds of JR East's shinkansen train as of the end of March 2013."

I have never heard it mentioned in this forum and don't know if any of the members know about it, but my favorite place to view Shinkansens is from the second floor of the McDonald's across the street from Akihabara Yodobashi Camera. The northbound Shinkansen track in and out of Tokyo Station is 20-30 feet away with an unobstructed view. Whenever I go to Akihabara I make it a point to have Lunch at this McDonalds. The view provided in the video reminded me of the view in Akihabara. Hectorton

Ahh the museum, went there today had a go on the simulators, had a walk around very nice. A side on view of passing Shinkansen trains can be had on the second floor from the eating area with vending machines closest to the Shinkansen lines (other side from the normal lines)

This video documents the expression of every form of shinkansen currently running on JR Tohoku, Joetsu, Yamagata, Akita, and Nagano Shinkansen lines, except E5+E6 combination.

Did you notice East-I running past the E2 at 5:15?  Most fortunate opportunity. :notworthy:
