marknewton
If I've read this correctly, Tramway will be releasing HO scale models of the C12 class 2-6-2Ts in August. If they're as nice as their diesel and electric locos, they'll be well worth having. So I suppose I'd better start saving! :) http://shopping.hobidas.com/shop/rail-hobidas/item/MIMT9179.html Cheers, Mark. Edited April 1, 2013 by marknewton Link to comment
westfalen
From a steam man like yourself I assume 2-6-4T was a typo. C12 66 at Motegi, Dec 2nd last year. 2 Link to comment
marknewton
I can't believe I did that - hangs head in shame. :icon_salut: Nice photo of No.66! Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
marknewton
Well, I'll know in a while how good these models are, as I just ordered a pair of them from our own Loco1Hobby. Can't wait! :) I've got a DVD which features a doubleheaded mixed train hauled by C12s, one of which has the black and yellow "scare stripes" on the smokebox and bunker. So I might be tempted to get the airbrush out... Cheers, Mark. Link to comment

westfalen
Here's my video of C12 66 on the musical turntable (don't know if you'd want to go that far on your layout) at Motegi and showing her stuff climbing the grade out of town on the way back to Shimodate. Link to comment
marknewton
Great video, Alvin, thanks for putting that up. I reckon the musical turntable is a classic, I'd love one! I also like the dinky little water column, very cute. On the run to Shimodate I see the driver gives the drain cocks a bit of a workout - was the engine priming? Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
westfalen
Others who have seen the video have commented on that too, the loco didn't appear to be priming. Link to comment
