bikkuri bahn
Interesting, maybe for people who have never been to Japan, "stunning"- no. Unfortunately, too many western photographers focus on people sleeping in the train or sitting on the floor, and thinks that makes for art. What I'd like to see is a photo essay of a day in the life of a subway driver (for example a rookie female driver)- you get both the human drama and a look into the operations of a complex railway "behind the scenes" that no tourist or passenger sees. 1 Link to comment
KVH1
Good find. I liked most of the pics. Would like to see more from a staff point of view. Link to comment

That's a problem with photography wherever you go. :) People want lots of deep revelations with minimal investment--that's a lot to put on a silent, motionless medium. And, with documentary photos of people, it's easy to assume you know what's going on when you don't. (Hmm, I wonder why I mainly do landscapes and wildlife...) Oh, and "Deep in thought"? Dude, she's not deep in thought--look at which finger she's showing you. :-) Link to comment
