former JR Central 119s to become Echizen MC7000

Recommended Posts

Just saw this linked on Ompuchaneru. I liked these in their original JNR colors so much, I kept wondering what was going on as I saw no ghastly scenes of scrapping at Hamamatsu. They've gotten some work including cosmetic work, VVVF inverters, and single arm pantographs. Work was apparently done by Osaka Sharyo Kogyo which I am otherwise unfamiliar with. I don't see anything here about how many they'll be getting, all total JRC retired quite a few, Echizen certainly won't be taking them all.
