westfalen
I found this image of an Hokutosei train with DD51 being pulled by a EH500.http://www.geocities.jp/series321_springbox_series231/IMG_05111.jpg I can't find any information about it where it could be though. Sorry, that link just takes me to the sign on page for Yahoo Japan and I can't get past that. Link to comment

westfalen
Not sure what's going on, when I click on your original link now it takes me to the photo, completely different to before. The consist of the train doesn't look like the Hokutosei, too many low roofed cars, and it looks like there are some other cars on the rear (Cassiopea cars?). My guess is it's a positioning move with cars out of the shops or something like that. The EH500 could be there because the DD51 has broken down or the train is worked by a JR freight crew who are not qualified on the DD51. Pity there are no details about what is going on.
