Seems lumber might be the reason.

If they were to burn the wood rather than sell it, it might discourage repeat poisonings.

Real shame. Perhaps next life for the culprit will be a sapling in a paper wood forest...

 

Hope they get caught.

 

A neighbor's tree when i was growing up got killed by copper nails, presumably by folks up the hill that had wanted the tree taken down so they could have a better view... Very sad what some people will do.
