bikkuri bahn
@Engaru-Cho Maruseppu Forest Park in Hokkaido #21 is a 762mm gauge wood burning tank engine built by Amemiya Works of Tokyo in 1928, originally for the Murii Forestry Railway of Maruseppu Town. Now it usually operates for tourists April through October, this is the first time in 12 years it has run in winter. 4 Link to comment

Nick_Burman
Good whistle too. Are the coaches replicas or the real mackoy? Cheers NB Link to comment
Sacto1985
That has to be one of the smallest steam locomotives I've seen running on a video. Loud, distinctive whistle, too. Link to comment

I think in general for a REAL railroad. I know there is an even smaller steam locomotive running in northeastern China serving a coal mine, but that's about it as I remember it. Link to comment
Densha
Yeah, most of us will know those industrial locos I guess. (used in the past in Europe too, for example: http://www.smalspoormuseum.nl/Materieel/Stoomlocs.html) Then there's still the interlocal steam trains from the distant past, but they were more trams than trains. marknewton
An attractive loco with a nicely-toned whistle. Here's one that's a lot smaller, but just as loud: Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
