Kawasaki Heavy Industries color film from 1958

Mainly about KHI's shipbuilding and steelmaking operations (very interesting in itself), but railway content, with a focus on electrical railway components rather than rolling stock, is from 24:00 to 28:06. At 27:30 to 27:49 is the real gem of the film: rare footage of a Kintetsu 2250 limited express set in the old tokkyu colors of cream and blue.  The 2250 was the first private railway rolling stock to have air-conditioning fitted for regular revenue service, the aircon equipment of course being a KHI product (the rolling stock is Kinki Sharyo built).

thanks bikkuri,

nice video. large sized manufacturing always fascinates me!

love the music, very period, reminded me of many eames films.

What's the line along the gorge shown when the rail section first opens?

Yeah, that's a good question, I thought I might start with what the loco is and then look for information about where it ran, but I'm not sure.  The profile looks like a DF50 I think, but I'm not sure, it's impossible to see it, plus I can't find any examples of the DF50 in such a livery.
