Rare N Lima 183

Wow not really modern enough for me in ways of prototype or running quality, but on the well known auction site here in the UK ive just seen a very rare LIMA 3 car 183 in JNR red and cream ,,,take a search may be of interest to a collector!

Had one. Ran terribly, spontaneously combusted at some point. Typical LIMA terrible quality... D: It's really a collectors item though. Just don't run it.

Lol. I have a bunch of old Lima H0 stuff laying around too. Last year all motors still worked miraculously while most "models" are about 20 years old I guess.

I'm always amused when eBay vendors try to hype a model as being "rare"... 

 

But on the subject of the quality of Lima models generally, I've found them to be very inconsistent. Friends of mine have had some shockers, and yet I have a small fleet of the Lima Duewag articulated trams, and they're excellent models. Buyer beware, I reckon!
