miyakoji
Tremendous time sink here, I found this Wikipedia user's page, he's got lots of good images: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%88%A9%E7%94%A8%E8%80%85:663highland The 'picture menu' is pretty cool, so I picked Okayama. Found this image of the "Prohibition Hall" built in Taisho 12 (1923). Interesting structure, seems northern European to me, but I know nothing about architecture. http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%95%E3%82%A1%E3%82%A4%E3%83%AB:Okayama_kinshu-kaikan02s3200.jpg Alcohol prohibition in Japan? What? Had to google it. Found this blog entry with some more pictures: http://hardcandy.exblog.jp/12553397 Had a look around on the rest of that site. Lots of interesting stuff including this entry on Minagi Station on JRW's Hakubi Line: http://hardcandy.exblog.jp/16871819/ Also found this one, with two entries on Nankai's Hamaderakoen Station: http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/kmy22jp/34870396.html http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/kmy22jp/34876166.html Overall an interesting topic which I'm interested to learn more about and loads of prototype structures for the forum's modelers to check out! 3 Link to comment
