Nick_Burman
JRF and Meirin collaborate to deliver a batch of remote-controlled diesel locos for export to China. Being standard-gauge, the locos are riding on dummy trucks; I presume the real trucks have been sent to the docks by road. Looking at this movement one can see why Meirin hasn't torn up the line beyond Meitetsu's Higashi-Nagoya-Ko station - the section pluss associated wharf trackage is (sporadically) used for export of rolling stock. I'm sure this will be the one and only delivery that Baosteel will get...the Chinese will surely have their copies of the locos up and running in no time at all! Cheers NB 1 Link to comment
miyakoji
Good find Nick, there's a lot of interesting operations on the Meirin. Those temporary trucks remind me of when Keisei's AE trains were transported to Kanto. Could even be some of the same trucks, those were built by Nippon Sharyo too. Link to comment
