Tomix turntable

Hello,

I've just receivet the Tomix turntable item 1621 TCS N-AT212-15.

So I have these problems: there are two connections, one labeled "D.C." the other one "TCS".

What is the meaning of each? What is TCS?

I suppose DC is to give power to locomotive, but TCS?

I've also the fleischmann, but it works with standard DC current... The Tomix how does it works?

Do you have some drawings with connections to use without the TCS system?

Many thanks!

Many thanks, but this is not I need... It explain the differents between items: I need for a wiring using standard systems like 12 Vdc or 16 Vac...

However I seem to understand in the DC cables I must connect the power feeder for locomotive (0 to 12 V), in the TCS cables I think to connect an AC source for turntable motion... How much is the power? 12Vac... 16Vac...?

When we set up a Tomix turntable on a club member's layout we connected a 12V DC wall wart type power supply to the TCS leads and the track power (he runs DCC) to the D.C. It runs great.

Yes, 12 Volts DC is right. AC accessories seems to be an American standard, not a world standard. If you had a Tomix power supply pack, it would have a black 2-wire output receptacle and the "TCS" cord would go right into it and be color-coded to match it. That's the "mystery" of Tomix TCS power. TCS controls and sensors are the more complicated areas, and the turntable does not use them.
