Hi, Ive taken the odd look at the Aizu cam recently, I haven't had time for the last few months and notice that the cam platforms don't seem to be used as much as before, I have yet to see a diesel set, is it just the wrong times or has anyone else noticed?

The camera faces platform one and two, these serve the Banetsu-Sai Line trains to Koriyama and Kitakata (electrified).  I see no reason why there would be less trains, I am not familiar with the operations at this station, but I assume most diesels would be using platform 3, which is off-camera to the left.

I havnt been watching the last few months. depending on where you are in the world affects when you see things and when your watching...

last i looked things did not seem to have changed much. after fukoshima they started to turn off all the platform lights after the last trains. only few monitors will show in the middle of the night.

ill start leaving it on to see whats up.

Many of the the dmus would likely be morning arrivals to allow commuters to exit the station quicker.  There is also the kaisoku Agano that uses E120 units as well as kiha 110.  I know of no hybrids used on regular services. Those are used on the Koumi Line exclusively AFAIK. This station isn't exactly a hot bed of activity, the schedule is basically one train an hour in each direction on the Banetsu-Sai Line, and a more peaky schedule for the Tadami Line.
