Nick_Burman
Action on the Keio Rinkai Railway. The variety of container train formations is very interesting, with short trains being "spoon-fed" into industries. It surely shows there is life beyond the WaMu... Cheers NB 4 Link to comment
POMU
Hi Nick Where exactly is the Keio Rinkai? - also the engines are KD's - I understand from Wikipedia that DD's are diesels (D) with 4 axles powered (D) - What is this significance, or meaning of K ? I've seen some KD sets for sale on ebay, but have no knowledge of them Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
The Keiyo Rinkai is located in Chiba Prefecture, and has a connection with the JR line at Soga. JRF has a small loco depot located there also. As far as I know, the "K" designation is for Keiyo. At Soga, any loads left by Keiyo Rinkai's diesels are picked up by JRF. Here an EF65 hauls a string of Japan Oil Terminal takis out of the station sidings onto the JRE Keiyo Line, the viaduct you can see curving up and off the the left in the distance: 2 Link to comment
