miyakoji
Another high-quality zenmen tenbou video by HINTEL1824TRAIN. Keep in mind that's "no say" not "nose" like on your face 3 Link to comment
ToniBabelony
Yeeah! I love Zenmen videos! Especially those in full length of local private lines. I always forget about the Nose RR, so thanks for that one :) Link to comment
miyakoji
For a long time I thought it was Hankyu, just maintaining a previous name for historical purposes. Japanese Wiki seems to say that the relationship actually goes way back, to the early 1920s. But apparently it's a subsidiary, not just a commonly used name. Hankyu has owned at least a majority stake since 1961. The rolling stock is former Hankyu, not current Hankyu , although there is at least one through-service, the Nissei Express, from Umeda to Nissei Chuo. Link to comment
Bob_NZ
If you would like to go back in time to before the upgrade of Kawanishi Noseguchi station then check out this snip that I have posted. I took it around 1995 and shows that start of the line from Kawanishi Noseguchi to Kinunobashi. You can then see what an improvement was made - although I do like the charm of that original windy stretch of line. Sorry about the quality as I had to convert from NTSC to PAL then from Super8 to digital. Bob Edited October 25, 2019 by gcmr_new_zealand Updated link 1 Link to comment
miyakoji
Thanks for that Bob. Actually the quality is fine. It's always interesting to see now/then photos, and even more so, videos. Google Earth has some function like this, although the range of dates doesn't go back far enough to make it really interesting. Link to comment
Sacto1985
Now, if I can just get HINTEL1824TRAIN to do a 2012 zenmen tenbou video of the Hanshin Main Line/Sanyo Main Line from Hanshin Umeda to Sanyo Himeji stations. There is one on YouTube, but that one is 14 years old and does not reflect the changes made on this route since the video was shot. Link to comment

I've been looking for the Sanyo portion of this for quite a while too and have found only one example, Takasago to Hanshin-Sannomiya: http://www.jnsforum.com/index.php/topic,7213.0.html . Later I'll see about the Hanshin section, I'm a little more optimistic about that. Link to comment

Sacto1985
By the way, regular YouTube poster seishun18kinkippu just posted a zenmen tenbou video of the current Hanshin Main Line from Motomachi Station in Kobe to Hanshin Umeda Station in Osaka: 1 Link to comment
