Between the purpose of the characater and the "ja-" at the end, which I'm guessing is a Kansai/Chugoku dialect reference, I want to like this.  Really I do.  But            I cant.

I'm actually a little surprised they based this new character off a 500 Series Shinkansen trainset. Why not an N700A Shinkansen trainset instead?

I was thinking the same thing since the 500's are mostly retired now, right?  Although I do admit the 500's are far more dramatic looking than the 700's IMO!
