Hi All,

 

Recently i went up to kinki area with the family.

 

We visited mostly tourist non train stuff but i wanted to post some interesting pics of coal etc being moved to the kaya sl park via boat.

 

I'm not sure if it unloads onto truck or a train but truck seems more likely as there was only a single dmu passenger service line and i rode up and down a few times and saw no hint of anything like this.

 

 

I have also included some pics of local stock on the kinki line and some others o took to and after the trip.

Which SL is being advertised on the boat? The kanji isn't 'Kaya'?

The kanji is hiroba though I may be wrong.

 

I think its park ? Might be completely off

Thanks ! I've never seen the website for this park. Although it's a Train->Bus affair, I definitely want to check it out.

Nice photos.  Kitakinki Tango's DMUs seem to look a bit older than they are...

 

I think they make a loss on the whole line? largely owned by the local govt and kyoto pref govt after jr off loaded it onto them.

 

i guess running right next to the ocean doesn't help with the rust :D
