So since third rail is coming up a bit and I`m interested in this I have whipped up a quick list of third rail lines and listed prototypes.

 

I hope to update when I have time with a pic of each prototype.

 

I have missed a line or 2 I think and a few prototypes. If you see anything missing pm me with appropriate link and or info and I will add it in the list.

Add Usui Pass to your list - they had three classes of rack locos, all fitted for 3rd rail operations during rack days.

if you have links for info please pm or add. i have limited time atm.

 

As a update today i took a few rides on purpose to get some osaka municiple subway sets to publish above on sep 1st when my flickr limit is over i will upload into this space.

 

I also took the new tram to the wifes friend house instead of via car so i could get some shots of the third phase rail.

 

though i forgot my camera i did get mobile shots ....

 

edit fixed spelling a bit..
