Looking for a Microtrains 1015-1 equivilent with longer shanks

G'day Folks,

 

I have some Rapido Panorama Series N scale cars that have factory MT1015 body mount coupler. The problem I have with them is that I have some tighter radius curves and the cars are having issues with curves as the diaphragms are rubbing with each other. Do you know if Microtrains have something in the MT1015's with a longer shank ?

The MT1015's are replacing the Rapido's correct?

 

T-style is used to replace Rapido.

 

You're choices are:

 

MT1130

 

Kato 923501 used with a coupler spring.

 

Red Caboose 51020.

 

Just using the google machine.

Hi Webskipper,

 

The cars come equipped with MT1015's. I'm looking for longer shanked versions.

The 1016 is the longer version of the 1015 with a .375" shank compared to the 1015's .312".

Hi, I ended up putting 1016's on one end of the cars and 1015's on the other end. Keeps the cars closer and fixed the issue I was having.
