cteno4
Well I got what I think is the tiniest detail I've done in n scale yet: n scale pigeons! http://www.shapeways.com/model/499052/n-scale-1-160-pigeons-set-of-121.html http://www.shapeways.com/model/525833/n-scale-1-160-pigeons-set-of-484.html They are tiny, but nicely detailed. Worked out to about 5 cents each when I bought 484 of them. If anyone is interested in a few of them Ill sell some off, pm me. They should be fun in a plaza scene as well as perched on some buildings and roofs. The shape ways stuff is nice. When I get some time here I want to try a bunch do odd details that are tiny like this as you pay for the volume of plastic used. Loads of 3D models out there to use directly or to start from. JR 500系
Really cool Jeff! Very nice! However, one little disadvantage is it comes as dis-coloured... Which is bad for lousy painters like myself... When i saw the rows & rows of birds, suddenly Lord of the Rings Battle of Helm's Deep comes in mind... Link to comment
cteno4
Pretty easy to paint, just paint lt gray then use a dark gray fine tipped marker to do the sides and head a bit darker. Red beak if you want the ultra detail. Jeff Link to comment
