Spaceman Spiff
Hey there, I'm planning to put a decoder into a Tomix Series 0-2000(older version I believe). The motor has an electrical part next to the motor contact. Can someone tell what this is and what it is for? I am planning to solder a Digitrax DZ125 on the motor contacts. Do I leave the part in or remove it (it just pops off). The part in question is circled in the pic. Thanks Spiff Link to comment
westfalen
It's a capacitor, probably for suppression of TV interference, European models most often have them. I get rid of them when I install decoders just in case. Link to comment
