gmat
A recent StarAdvertiser article about hiking on the abandoned tramway up Koko Crater sparked a search and brought up these articles. I knew the mountain as Koko Head and can remember seeing the tram going up the mountain during the early 60s when our family went by going to Hanauma Bay or around the island. Koko Crater's dizzying tramway offers an exhilarating challenge for casual hikers and athletes alike http://www.staradvertiser.com/s?action=login&f=y&id=158344435 Photos of the site. http://www.radomes.org/museum/recent/KokoCraterAFSOahuHI.html Koko Crater Air Force Station (dated 1989) http://www.radomes.org/museum/documents/HawaiiFactSheet1989-3.jpg From this page.
