Nick_Burman
Okayama Electric Tramway car #3007 in its new dress. Design by Eijii Mitooka (who else? ). Ex-Tobu Nikko Tramway. The noises coming from under the floor are a real symphony... Incidentally there was a discussion about the existence or not of turning loops on tramway systems in Japan...well, there was one turning loop, on the Tobu Nikko tram outside the mainline station at Nikko. bill937ca
That could be a loop. I get the feeling its going around a block or square. The curves are not at all tight. Photos and diagram here. Still, I tend to think rail fans like Ralph Forty knew there stuff. Link to comment

bill937ca
Generally a loop is a free standing piece of land used to turn streetcars and owned by the streetcar company. I think you are stretching the definition. Link to comment
marknewton
I'm not usually a fan of modern paint schemes, but this car looks rather flash - I quite like it. On the subject of loops, I think it all comes down to definitions. While I agree with Bill that the North American definition of a loop is as he describes, elsewhere in the world the definition is broader, and like Nick I would say that the Tobu line terminates in what I would call a loop. Great photos on that website, BTW Bill! Cheers, Mark. 1 Link to comment
The_Ghan
Isn't that the old JPS Racing colour scheme from the 1970's? Cheers The_Ghan Link to comment
Sacto1985
Gawd, this thing is noisier than a Hong Kong tram! Got to love the wooden seating, though. Link to comment
