marknewton Posted June 10, 2012 Share Posted June 10, 2012 It certainly is a nice video. This loco is now preserved at the Nagoya City Science Museum. (I'm glad the old girl survived and went to a good home... ) What's interesting about this video is that even late in its working life, the engine is still in very good condition. That's a credit to both the builders, Hanomag, and the mechanical staff at Ishihara Sangyo. I also like the glimpses of the crew preparing the engine for a days work - love the white gloves! cteno4 Posted June 10, 2012 Share Posted June 10, 2012 very sweet video and nice music to set the feeling well! glad a well worked and loved engine found a nice home at a museum. some fond childhood memories were from an old steam engine that sat in the big kids park in monterey where you could climb all over it and play engineer. jeff Link to comment
