Here is approach how to make stable coach lightts is described: Drawback of ORIGINAL cars: 1) Low free run distance. No driving of long train! 2) Current supply only via half wheels. Solution: 1) Fully powered current supply via needle bearings. See Photo: 2) Take usual prismatic-reflector board and solder 2 LEDs according this SCHeet: A small capacitor = 200mkf works as big ionistor if you will discard ballast resistor and place current stabilizer!
