JR 500系
Nice! But i think as an alternative to expensive bicycles/ motorbikes, you can also use it as a shelter for probably some carnival or festival, or even as a form of weekend market stores, or even as reserved parking lots at the Tomix condominium! Might be thinking some of this ideas when i finally get to design my small city... Now all the funding goes to train and related structures instead... Link to comment
scott
figured this would have to come out from tomytec at some time! Yeah, I saw those -- very tempting, but also maybe a good beginner scratch-build project I could try. its the cost of filling these with bikes that will get you! Seriously! I wanted to model one of those overflowing bike lockups at a station, but not at the price N-scale bikes go for. :-P The fold-it-yourself brass ones might do the trick--can't remember how much those cost, though. cteno4
scott, yes the gold metal etched brass bikes are still the one of the best bang for the buck at $6.30 for 10 bikes and a rack. http://www.nscalesupply.com/Gmm/GMM-160-28.html a tad cheaper is the tomix big bike pack at 64 for $32. no bike rack though, but many of the bike parking sheds ive seen dont have lock to racks. of course these use to be much cheaper when the yen was lower! http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10025245 painting the plastic tomix bikes is a lot easier than painting the etched brass ones! cheers jeff Link to comment
