bill937ca
Keihan along with Hankyu, Hanshin, Nankin, and Kintetsu are the five major Kansai private railways. Each it seems has a distinctive feature. Keihan has an elevated four track right of way on the Osaka end of the main line to Yodoyabashi. 1 Link to comment
miyakoji
Nice choices, Bill. I especially like the curve at the end of the first one. Link to comment
dpkworldwide
I LOVE Keihan! Partly because I used to ride Keihan when studying in Kyoto, and partly because it's one of the unique, non-Shinkansen standard gauge lines in Japan. The 4-track S-curve in the video is, I believe, leaving Owada station. There's nothing more exciting than watching an express on the inside track pacing then passing a local on the outside, platform track! Recently I've been watching a LOT of YouTube videos on Keihan, and would especially like to recommend viewing any of the vids by YouTube user "ahiruzuki"--tons of recent stuff shot in HD with lots of awesome soundtrack and clear recordings of station announcements, etc. 2 Link to comment
Guest ___
I found Noe to be a great spot to watch the four track main in action. Link to comment
