bill937ca
Visitor levels in Japan have returned to pre-tsunami levels. Still, most visitors are from Asian countries. Canadian visitors were down 11.9%. http://japandailypress.com/foreign-visitors-to-japan-in-april-returns-to-pre-tsunami-level-252672?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+JapanDailyPress+%28Japan+Daily+Press%29&utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher Link to comment
Densha
Good to hear that, I actually expected it to take even longer. But seriously, a 665% increase of visitors from Hong Kong? That's a miraculously! But if the tsunami (and mainly the nuclear disaster) didn't happen, then Japan maybe would have had the most visitors since years, because of those new flight companies. Link to comment
bill937ca
I think the Hong Kong numbers reflect cheap airfares whereas Canada and France probably show a decline in tour packages. If packages don't sell tour companies cancel the packages, but airlines cut fares to fill flights. Link to comment
