Pity the retired zeros, 100's and 500's weren't invited.

 

Ghan, even if they where invited, they wouldn't have been able to get there (at least not on their own power) as the Eastern Shinkansen (with exception of the Nagano Shinkansen) use 25kV 50hz to power their Shinkansen, while the western Shinkansen use 25kV 60hz. And only the E2系0/100番台, as well as a single modified 200系 (F80), are capable of both 50hz and 60hz operations. Both Shinkansen networks are physically separated from each other as well.
