angusmclean,

I read a post dating back to 2010 where a forum member was seeking a parts owners manual that comes with kato sets for the above shinkansen E1 set, and I believe that "angusmclean" provided a copy.  Angusmclean if you read this post, please help.

I recently purchased this set second hand and the bodies for three of the passenger cars in the 10-340 set have paint splatter on them.  The motor and motor body are intact.  Set 10-341 is in mint condition.  It appears that someone might have been using a spray gun and some of the spray got on the set.  I know that the complete set has long been out of production, but I am still hoping to find replacements bodies, and or remove the paint specs.  However, neither set contained the parts/owners manual.  If angusmclean or anyone else have the documentation I would be very appreciative if they could send me a pdf/jpg copy.

I would also love any advise anyone can provide on how to remove these paint spec without damaging the paint on the body.  There are maybe a dozen to a dozen and a half specs on two boddies, the third just has a couple.  Additionally, I attempted to PM angusmclean directly without success.  I just got a question mark where text you are suppose to match apperas Thanks in advance to all, Hector.

Yes, I may have them handy in my computer. It's sleepy time here in NZ, I'll check them tomorrow.  Send me a message by internal email with your email address, I'm on Page 2 of the member's list.

Hector,

There's a Kato E1 Max 10-340 set for sale on Yahoo.

I buy a bit of stuff from Yahoo using Japan Auction Center

Here's a thread on how to do it.

You might take a look at all the E1 Max for sale on Yahoo.  I have two Tomix E1s, both full consists - 12 cars.  One is based around 92059 and 92060 plus single cars, the other based on 92212, 92213 and 92060.  These sets are prototypically correct while the Kato set is not.  If you're a fan of the E1, like me, then you might keep an eye on Yahoo for a while.  New sets pop up every month or so.

To learn more about the Tomix sets just search JNS for 92059.

Cheers
