nishikigawa

Recommended Posts

That does look interesting, I rode the Nishikigawa last November but didn't know about that. Looks like it only runs in summer though.

A Japanese railway atlas I have that shows all abandoned lines doesn't show the Nishikigawa ever continuing beyond the present end of the line, is this a line on which construction was started but never finished?

P.S. I just had a look at Japanese Wikipedia and answered my own question, it was planned to connect with the Yamaguchi line. Would have made an interesting return trip out of Hiroshima.

Where? down in Yamaguchi

What? Awesomeness

How? Via train (make sure you take the yamaguchi SL too :D the last stop on the sl before it goes back after 2h 45 min is an old skewl town and the water ways along the street is full of carp.

Cheers

BTW the tram with the lights is like mega slow and more of an attraction/ride than anything at all.

Still the line itself is just pure epic as such pics posted via West, theres a few vides on youtube some where.
