Krackel Hopper
hey hey, I recently sold a few pieces of Tomix rolling stock on Ebay, and the buyer sent me a message saying that it would have been nice for me to mention the wheels are not insulated and this makes the rolling stock worthless. I have never heard of insulated wheels on rolling stock? Can someone educate me? Link to comment
inobu
I think it stems from block detection/reverse loop configurations but he should be able to isolate them by pulling out the pickups. Most all of the JDM (Japenese Domestic Market) conduct power on rolling stock via wheel sets. The problem for some layouts............ as the wheelset will bridge power over rail isolators. This could cause a loop or short trip from one block/section to another by the rolling stock after the engine/locomotive enter into the block . Inobu Link to comment
