Jcarlton
I've been watcing this as the city wakes up, the first trains in the morning, the early people getting to work, the delivery trucks making the rounds. Sort of cool. I used to like to go into NYC on Sundays and have the same sort of city waking up feel. Link to comment

westfalen
Nice clear picture and you don't have to wait long to see a train, downside is there's not much variety, you've seen one Yamanote or Keihin-Tōhoku train and you've seen them all. It would be nice if you got a bit more than a tantalising glimpse of the Shinkansen over to the left. Link to comment
bill937ca
A map of the location. The camera is located north of the station above the Kanta Myojin Dori (the main street in the background) and below the fire station. http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.69988&lon=139.77445&zoom=17&layers=M Link to comment
CaptOblivious
Suhweet! Exactly the portion of the station I'm modelling. Total awesomesauce. Link to comment

Should improve a bit when the Tohoku Junkan Line becomes operational in 2014. The right of way of that line is visible next to the Yamanote/Keihin Tohoku Line tracks. Link to comment
bill937ca
The Akihabara feed is back and unfortunately its a much inferior location looking across the tracks rather than down on Akihabara station. There are Tohoku Junkan Line trains on layover in the background. Every once in a while a Tohoku Junkan Line arrives or leaves. It appears the host company moved closer to the station resulting in the change. Edited June 12, 2014 by bill937ca Link to comment
westfalen
I just checked it out to see what the new view was like, I thought the constant procession of identical Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku line trains in the old view was boring. I might set up a webcam in my front yard to watch the grass grow. Link to comment
