wobblybob
Has anyone experience of the Local Sen and Kokuden models? These are budget range and do not feature lights. Has anything else been stripped out of these models? Sticker sheets? Glazing? Also, do they have standard Kato mechanisms or something more basic? I'm contemplating a smallish end-to-end, DC shelf layout, so lighting is not a priority. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Bob Link to comment
The_Ghan
Hi Bob, Here's what I know (limited knowledge) about the Kokuden range: 1. No headlights; 2. No fly-wheel motor - just the standard 3-pole motor; 3. The detailing is claimed to be aimed at the beginner ... ergo, not much detail; 4. Interior lights cannot be fitted because the bogeys don't have electrical pickups (except for the motor); 5. They are only available as a 3-car set and limited to the 103 series commuter; 6. The ARE fitted with window glazing; 7. I don't think there are any accessories, transfers, sticker sheets or add-on parts included in the set. Hope this helps. Cheers The_Ghan Link to comment
wobblybob
Many thanks for this information, Chris. They are now arriving at GB retailers and think I might give one a go. Thanks again. Bob Link to comment
