looks like they used the same system of 3 building modules with separate floor sections and then the stair well on the end. just different windows and details. hey if it works and i bet these types of gov buildings may be a bit cut and paste anyway in the real world, just change a few details to switch between a middle school and small hospital!

I think so too, I have seen many photos of Japan with buildings like that. Also this photo for example looks a lot like the Tomytec model.

ha spot on! yeah i think its pretty much modular building design like the models! the 60-80s seemed to be the high point of this uniform approach in public building design. hopefully this is one of the good things about cad is that you can still be modular oriented for efficiency, but do a lot more to the visual appearance to not make things so bland, cookie cutter look to them. ghan can probably comment more on this.
