bill937ca
This is a special narrow gauge railway running up to Kurobe Dam in operation from May to November. A pair of heavy electrics power the train. But these heavy electrics are barely six feet high (see photo below with crew member). The line also hauls essential commodities like beer. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=dumbWPf2U7E English language official web site. http://www.kurotetu.co.jp/en/index.html Photos http://www.train-tram.be/japon/photo/prive/kurobe/index.htm There is also another special narrow gauge mountain climbing railway like this above the Oigwawa Railway. http://www.train-tram.be/japon/photo/prive/oigawa/ikawa/index.htm Link to comment
