bill937ca
What about the Kanden Tunnel trolleybus? That`s an electric bus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanden_Tunnel_Trolleybus Link to comment
miyakoji
Yeah I always think of trolley buses or trackless trolleys as electric buses, but as it turns out, no one else does . Looking at wikipedia, it appears that several major cities in Japan had trolley buses, but all have been retired. Other than the Kanden bus there's the Tateyama Tunnel trolleybus. Nothing in open urban or suburban areas. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
I suppose the category is for first electric bus to regularly operate independently of a fixed power delivery infrastructure- and related to the the current movement among electric automobiles with charging stations/home charging. westfalen
I beleive the Kanden and Tateyama trolley bus lines are legally railways and operate under the laws governing railways. Link to comment
