The identity of the train that makes a very brief cameo in this recent TV commercial had me stumped:

Based on its stainless corrugated sides, it was identifiable as an older type, but not familiar to me.  I admit that I resorted to finding the answer at Yahoo Chiebukuro, where it was revealed to be the Hokuso 9000 series. Either the train was repainted for the shoot, or the color was added through CG.

My initial thought on this was a Toei/Kumaden 6000 series.  I love trying to identify rolling stock and locations.  For example, yesterday I saw this thread on Ompuchaneru: http://rail-uploader.khz-net.com/index.php?id=1017386 .  On the left we can see it's 'osouzai ori... bentou'.  Discovered that this is the Origin Bento chain--never heard of them, I'm a diehard Hokkaben customer, unless a mom-and-pop bento shop is around.  Out the window to the left of the cactus plant, you can see the Keio sign, and part of a kanji.  Tough one.  I found this map on Keio's site http://www.keio.co.jp/train/map/index.html, and located a possibility, Shibasaki Station.  And what do we find on google maps?  http://g.co/maps/4ctsj .  Done. Of course upon closer inspection one of the posters mentions that...

Interesting thread you linked to.  I know about the Makku in Akihabara, but that one in Machida with the view of Odakyu is promising.  Too bad I have no other reason to got to Machida...
