The capacitor, I guess, is to reduce flickering. But I'm sure I've read other reports on this forum suggesting that larger capacitors are required. The project is interesting, but I'm time poor. KenS Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 Given the size of the capacitor, it's probably a noise filter required by the CRD rather than for flicker-reduction. I've never worked with a CRD though, so I don't know anything about them. But I'm impressed by the approach to building them. I'd never thought of using double-sided tape to hold things in place while soldering leads to leads. And it clearly works for mass-production. Link to comment
