bikkuri bahn
At least in Indonesia they have an economic reason for gambling with their lives. In Australia, well... Link to comment
cteno4
spend some time around teenagers, their brains have a very warped sense of logic, even in the bright ones some or much of the time. something probably to do with brain development... never try to apply adult logic to theirs, its just not the same. yes its stupid, but in their brains it is logical and good unfortunately. some basic adult survival things are also just turned off as well, so no alarms ring. risk taking is really important for learning and development, but its a slippery slope into being destructive. i taught high school for a year and it was so interesting watching the kids, their thought patterns, interactions, fears, joys was like studying a really different culture and at times a different species! then all of a sudden they can be totally adult, but also about face into the altered state! wild. i remember those time in my own life. i was lucky as there was that little voice in the back of my head to warn me, but i do remember the rest of my brain going "Hugh, What, Why?! where is that coming from?" But luckily for some reason most of the time i listened and survived, but i must admit many times just after the voice got me to stop or leave a situation someone got hurt or busted and i had a few stupid close calls even though then folks called me bright, responsible, and mature! cheers jeff Link to comment
