Nagaragawa Rlwy accident

Monday morning Jan. 23, an automobile ran into a pole, toppling it and blocking the track on the Nagaragawa Rlwy in Gifu Pref.  A passing train was unable to stop in time, and a collision occurred.  Passengers and the driver of the train were not injured, but the driver of the car suffered light injuries.  Services on the railway were suspended for approx. 2 hours.

I assume railways are insured against this sort of thing.  It seems to me that such an incident could really put the hurt on a small private railway.
