Applying Kato decals to platform

Hi everyone,

I am a novice when applying decals.  I am wondering has anyone applied the yellow strip onto the Kato platform before?

Is the area around the yellow strip transparent so that it is a little more forgiving when I cut it out?

 

What are your tips to do this?  I am kinda sick to see it just plain grey with and without any decoration.

I have not applied any Kato decal as of yet.

 

Very very diluted soapy water to moisten the area should allow you to position them before they dry. Don't soak the decal. Dab with dry lint free towels to press out the water.

 

Practice with decals you won't use.
