brill27mcb Posted January 18, 2012 Share Posted January 18, 2012 There are generally two plow configurations: wedge plow (v-shaped) and shear plow (single slanted face). A shear plow has the advantage of throwing all of the snow off to the open side of a double-track railroad, instead of throwing some onto the adjacent track. Rich K. Link to comment
