steam locomotive leading emu train?

I knew I used to see a nice clean photo some time ago but had since long lost it somewhere so here begs the question, could it had been likely a one-time special run or were there any normal operation of express steam locomotives heading an emu train under wire?

But not under wire!

 

I can't think of steam with electric MU under wire, however I know of at least one case of electric loco with electric MU under wire, without a single steep grade (like Usui Pass) to justify it...the Joshin Dentetsu does that more or less regularly with their two AEG electrics (as a railfan attraction and also to keep the two locos in good shape after the end of freight service). The railway uses MU cars behind the two locos as they don't have any loco-hauled stock of their own. The MU cars travel with their pans up to keep lighting, doors and A/C going while the locos do the hauling.

and a C11? well geeze I'm not sure if I want to thank you for giving me one more excuse on yet another C11 consist to get for my layout :-s hehe

That's a "Joyful Train" (don't ask me which - there are dozens of 'em!!!) behind D51-498 - looks like a diesel MU set but in fact is a hauled train with two obs cars, one on each end. Looks a little on the too heavy side for a C11 to cope with out on the road, though.
