Tracking Japanese trains with You Tube Subscriptions

People who post videos to You Tube have a You Tube Channel to which you can subscribe.  I use this method to track what is going on with the trains in Japan. If you have a wide enough catalog of videos you should be able to see any kind of train--Shinkansen, Blue Train, EMU, DMU, JRF container trains, private railways, steam, streetcars and interurbans.

To do this you really need to set up a You Tube account which allows you to bookmark favorites, create play lists (basically file videos for future reference) and create an You Tube channel.

I have my the new Videos page for my Subscriptions bookmarked in my browser so at a single click I can see the a proof sheet like page showing all the newest videos each day.  It only takes a minute to see if there is anything I want to look at right away.

Here are some You Tube channels from Japanese railfans, mainly on JR trains. If you click on Videos you can see the types of trains each poster video tapes.

Ahhhh, so that's one of the ways you find those great posts of yours (but I also like your explanations that go along with your posts.)  Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it makes it easier to find something if someone asks.

Bill--

A while back, I found someone online--I'm not even sure it was on Youtube--who had lots of very clear, sharp videos of Shinkansens. Does that ring a bell? There are a lot of great videos on Youtube, but some of the videos are a bit dim or grainy, and the one I was looking for looked very well done.
