bill937ca
For those into Shinkansens and similar in HO you might want to look at these. You'll need to find a English language dealer that ships outside Japan and maybe mortgage your home! bikkuri bahn
Awesome looking but WHOA prices: 558,600¥ for the 10 cars E5! Welcome to the world of HO scale "collecting" (I don't call it modeling, as these will likely not be run on a layout). I was at a hobby shop last year, and a middle aged man came in, and made such a purchase of similar amount- in and out in 15 minutes. After he left, the proprietor of the shop was saying how thankful he was that such people are still around (王様の客- or a "kingly customer") though he also tipped his hat to the customers of more modest means who, for example, save up for months to purchase an N scale rolling stock set. Martijn Meerts
Well, 5500 Euro for a 10 car set, which I believe is all brass, probably most hand crafted.. I have mass-produced Marklin locomotives that cost 550 - 700 Euro, for the loco alone ;) Link to comment
marknewton
Spendy! Luck for me I'm completely immune to the "charms" of shinkansens... Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
