Nick_Burman
Is there any bus connection on the other side of the ferry across Bojozu Lagoon in Takaoka? Before the lagoon was opened the the sea one could ride all the way from Toyama to Takaoka by trolley, later the Toyama side was abandoned - is there an alternative public transport in place replacing the formere Shasui line? Kitayama
Yes, there is a bus service on the Toyama side, running 3 times/day, 26 minutes to Iwasehama station (the end of Portram) http://www.city.imizu.toyama.jp/combus/route/route17.html 1 Link to comment
Nick_Burman
Thanks. Lousy schedule though. There is another bus which links Shinminato Higashiguchi (the ferry terminal) to Kureha JR station in Toyama city. However the schedule is even lousier... Pity, I assumed that when Chitetsu closed the Shasui line they must have put their own parallelling bus line, however my thought has proved to be wrong... Cheers NB Link to comment
