Bernard
Jeff when I saw it and looked at the video I said this is different and would look great on a layout than I had the same reaction you did almost $500.00! WOW! Link to comment

Bernard
Jeff - As always an interesting model.....but in this economy who has money to put into the "Piggy Bank?" Link to comment
cteno4
yeah but the new 1/5000 pro-hobby model doesnt look like it has the space in it to even fit a 1yen coin! the big bank one looks like you could sock away quite a bit in it with 100yen coins! jeff Link to comment
cteno4
ok another skytree item, a balance game! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400273695600&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123#ht_837wt_882 jeff Link to comment
cteno4
everyone has to have a sky tree now! tomytec has is offering at $245 at 1/2000 scale. of course tomytec has to out do everyone with more lights, 10 lighting programs, lighting that plays by the hour of the day, responds to sounds, has a remote control and has a little city scene below to boot! http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10176265 jeff Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
I'll only consider a 1:150 version ;) 1 Link to comment
cteno4
does your new train room have a 4.25m ceiling? if not you will need to cut the hole in the ceiling and have it go up thru the attic. perhaps the top could be your tv antenna on the roof sticking out! jeff Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
Jeff, actually, the highest point of the train room is probably about 4.25m. It's a slanted roof ;) Link to comment
cteno4
oh you lucky nuck, but you will have to have your layout on the floor as the tower itself is about 4.25m high! but you could fudge it at 1/200 scale! start collecting straws from restaurants to make the tower structure! jeff Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
I'm guessing the base could be an issue as well, I guess it needs quite some space :) Link to comment
quinntopia
Wow, I came to this thread late, but am thinking like the rest of you...trying some way, some how to figure out how to get one of these. But yeah, the wrong scale and high price keep forcing me back to reality. I wish we could some innovation in this area that is closer to N gauge! Link to comment
cteno4
quinn, somehow i thought these would tickle your fancy! we got your number! cheers jeff Link to comment

cteno4
Daban, ooh nice desk toy! does the light slowly change colors? i have to be careful of desk toys if not watched the slowly take over the workstation! but better them than paperwork... jeff Link to comment
dabsan
Hi, yeah this is a great little model. The light is just purple and turns on and off giving a very nice effect, there is a blue version available also. The little silver lines which represent the railway tracks going to the Sky Tree station look good, just need some micro dot sized trains now lol. Usual high quality model which is always expected from items for sale in Japan. Link to comment
cteno4
nice. you need to make one of those tiny rubber band trains that folks make 1/2000-1/10000 moving models from so the trains run in and out of the station! jeff Link to comment
dabsan
Yeah will get to work on that project Link to comment
