keitaro
Anyone know of a good nscale / modellers tool kit to get. such as off ebay? For example like the tomix one with out the hefty price tag http://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix35th/35item_tool.htm in specific i'm realy after one of those hand drills they have with the .8 bits etc. I want to get small screws very thin and bout 5mm in length and screw them into the monorail track. i want a sort of all in 1 kit (minus the screws) like the tomix one i looked but couldn't find anything suitable. cteno4
Keitaro, i would look at just assembling your own for your specific needs, ive never found many specific tool kits like this to be totally on the mark for what you need and they are usually pretty expensive and at times not great quality. i would look at a small bit set and a pin vise, you can pick these up cheap on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/14-Piece-Micro-Drill-Bit-Set-Pin-Vise-Great-Pearls-/400090580381?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d2741c59d http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Piece-Micro-Drill-Bit-Index-Set-61-80-/110750836679?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c943a7c7 also lots of micro screw driver sets out there. you will probably want a #0 and #00 philips and slot tips. lots of good cutters out there. xuron are the usual ones most modelers have. you can find some cheaper ones out there that will do you find as long as you are not trying to nip rails hardened steel! finding the tiny screws is tougher. i know micro mark sells a selection of micro screws. might check your local watch repair shop as they may have some tiny ones you could use, but they may not be self tapping. trainaidsa makes some tiny self tapping screws that might work. they ship international. http://www.trainaidsa.com/shop-fasteners.shtml jeff Link to comment
