Nick_Burman Posted September 14, 2011 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Although they look like Odakyu stock, the Argentine cars were delivered new as part of a scheme which would have seen the main broad-gauge main line electrified as far as Rosario and Cordoba, but which petered out at the edge of the suburbs of Buenos Aires. They are 25Kv units and the Argentines reckon they were some of the best suburban trains they ever bought. They are certainly tough considering the amount of neglect the Argentine system has been facing over last few decades. Bouenos Aires Metro operator Metrovias has some ex-Nagoya and ex-Tokyo Marunouchi Line stock in operation. Cheers NB Link to comment
